Anthracite, if I'm not mistaken - same as my MY12 Elegance.

Yep, paint name should be Anthracite Grey metallic - code 9J9J :)

That front number plate wants sorting,it needs black screw covers fitting.  :D

Kids love the sunroof too, should come in handy for France in the summer. Never seen one on an Octy before

There is only one choice there -- Front and rear park sensors can be retrofitted with OEM or aftermarket kits very, very easily for very little money. Xenons cannot -- it's mega money for any retrofit, if indeed it is possible, and any upgrade to HID kits is not a real viable option on the facelift models due to the sensitivity and likelihood of frying the car's internal brain (the BCM)

And the standard halogens have been described by many as atrocious/poor/not good/terrible -- take your pick!

Go for the one with xenons and add the parking sensors later!  Good luck

Mike

Great shout on the Xenons, first time I've ever had them, really impressed. Also another plus for the drive down to France that you can switch them over without the stickers over the lamps.

Mine is a grey FL with xenons and some other bits ( pics in link below). Good to see another!

I haven't actually seen yours yet as the link has been taken down. Post a few pics when you pick it up!

Yeah, pics please. I assume you weren't made redundant as you went an bought a motor, that must've been a relief.

Will get some pics up ASAP. Another in the Anthracite Club  , I actually rang up about the race blue one they had in, a week last Saturday, but they'd sold it so I put a reserve on that one and booked the sunday off work. The blue one only had cruise and was 16k mile more but for the same price so it would probably have been a no brainer anyway. Did the deal on the same day and picked it up next day.

No one knows until April what's going on really, just going through a consultation period at the moment. Just took a punt because if I do need to start working away i'll need a decent motor anyway. I just thought spec wise it was too good to let go, I've missed out before then kicked myself...

Only things I've found so far:

Had to replace a lamp in the rear light cluster

Small scratch which has been touched up on the rear arch, which I saw before I bought but not too fussed about

During heavy rain the other day one of the reverse sensors was solid red on the display and continual tone. Never done it since so I assume there's a bit of water ingress which i'll have a look at if I get a repeat issue.

Also not sure if the tyres have been pushed back and alloys over-sprayed, but could be wrong. Had that issue on my white one and only found out when I got my tyres changed, loads of paint started to come off with the tyres.

Seen your project thread. Looks good. Tints are on my list too as is the cambelt & water pump. Its at 62k now and overdue its 60k service so going to get them done at the same time I think. I'm sure I read on here it needs doing at 80k...

Also going to fit a USB point in the top dash storage box ready for a Garmin satnav.

60k Service, cam belt &water pump booked in for a week today.

Been quoted £140 for tints from a well regarded local place too.

Good work. Start a project thread if you have a few bits planned!!

Think it will stay fairly standard to be fair.

Shopping list is: Tints, mud flaps, top dash box garmin/USB install and maybe a set of new style skoda badges...and a Briskoda sticker should be here next week

Nice one! Where are you taking it for the work? Mine was due at Sparshatts in Botley tomorrow for MOT, but they have cocked up and i'll take it on Monday now.

Jealous of your sunroof!

Just down the road at G. Harniess, they used to be a family owned Skoda dealer. Just a workshop now. Used them for all my Skuds, good at what they do and reasonable pricing too. That'll clear my wallet out for now. Just managed to sneak the badges and USB parts through.

Swap you for the full leathers :D might need a tin opener though...
