Mark 2 vRS ARBs versus non-vRS cars

Featured Replies

He already has a thread here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/384600-arbs/

Not that there has been much response. There are certainly different sized/strength ARB's but I'm not sure which is fitted to the vRS.

Best plan is probably to measure both and go from there.

The whiteline rarb I had fitted to my vrs is very good but not sure it was £100 good ...

Slightly off topic but has anyone tried swapping the standard rear bushes for power flex on the standard Arb? Does this make much difference??

I fitted another brand of nolathene bush to the front bar of my Mk3 Cabrio.  It was fractionally better - about the same level of increase as fitting a "high performance" air filter.  ie: possibly the level of improvement was all in your head.  You'll get more improvement by shortening the lever arm.

So realistically it's more of a placebo mod! I'll leave that then!

If your D-rubbers need changing then use the poly bushes.  If the OEM D-rubbers are OK then you'll hardly notice any improvement.  I think you are going from about 50 duro for the black rubber to 100 duro for the poly bush.  As a component of a total system it isn't much.
