Changing battery - fault code airbag ?

Featured Replies

Hi I have a Skoda Fabia 1,2 2003 model, and the battery was  discharged. I take the battery out, and tried to get a noter battery in, but it don't fit, so I put the original battery in again for charging it in the car. The battery is only one year old, but the car was standing for a long time. Therefore the battery get down.

After charging the airbag-light came on. ?

What can I do about that?

Is it only temporary?

I will make car in good contition...

Something else:

Im take a salve job on it. Changing one valve and get the other in good condition. I had to shorten the exhaust valve a lithe so they get clearens enough.

Example:  Maximum dimension for both

valves

103,7 mm

- (Valve length -c- + measured

distance -h-)

(99,2 + 4,35) mm

= max. permissible reworking dimension1)

Id imagine its just upset the car swapping the batterys, clear the fault and that should be it hopfully.

Thanks! I will do the engine ready first.

I also have problem with the AC, it don't work.

Somebody who know what is normal service/problems with this on Fabia?

Do somene have repair og check procedure ?

AC does not work below 4 degrees celcius,

The airbag fault has to be cleared by a dealer or VCDS, it will not clear itself. In addition other ECUs will have recorded low voltage fault codes, which although cause no problems will be recorded none the less.

Head on, timing chain and so on.

Hope the car will start some day?
