  • Have you tried bleeding the clutch?

  • OK with the engine off and clutch down is it still difficult? If yes then it's linkage or possibly shift fork problems If no then it's clutch drag or the input shaft needs shimming up.

  • As said in my project thread, we have a winner!!!!!!!!!!! The gearbox fluid change has solved all of my gear selection issues, and also made the shifts nicer. Result! (hope i have not spoken too soon!

Just booked the car into Unit18 and will leave it with them for as long as they need it to investigate. Hoping it is just the master or slave cylinder like ken suggested and not a box rebuild. If it is the big one i may splash on a diff too and its done then. Thanks for everyones input on this :)

I can pm the price I paid for my rebuild. It included everything, new bearings, syncros and gears....mine was proper fudged lol. All cause by incorrect shimming of the differential.

Bit of a tricky situation your in tbf.

If they think it's slave, remove gearbox, replace slave, put it back together and it's still the same that's alot of hours of labour your going to be shelling out as it will all need removing again :(
