Vas alloys

Featured Replies

Is there anyway of finding out what size of alloys my 07/08 version Octy would have been delivered with,as I have a set of 17" vw Passat alloys on and the handling is not as it should be!! Would it be in my service booklet with the long string of numbers?

Octy vRS Mk2 came with 17"s as standard.

It could be the offset off of the wheels or the physical width that's different on the passat wheels you have fitted. Could also potentially be the wrong size tyres.

If you put your number plate into any online tyre shop it will tell you what tyres should be on your car. If the tyres o you have on are the same then it's an issue with the wheels themselves.

Wheelfitment.eu will tell you what the physical properties of the wheels are and you can compare with the passat ones you have fitted.

Thanks guys I will check. Also johnboy why was my post edited???

They might have been 18's too as they were an optional extra

late 07 vrs came with 18inch zeniths as a free upgrade and jumbo box and duel zone air con if yours is an 07/08 it would more than likely of came with the upgrade pack so 18inch zeniths with 225/40/18 tyres

there will be information on the fuel filler cap flap for the 17inch tyre size .

The alloy wheel is called the Zenith, as has been mentioned the very early vRS's (2006 -2007) came with 17's, then late in 2007 Skoda UK offered a free upgrade to 18's which obviously most people chose.

They then became standard in 2008.

A set of 18's here on eBay...

Or 17's here if you want better pothole resistance and cheaper tyre costs...
