'Personally' I wouldn't touch it, he clearly states for 'spares or repairs'!! Surely if it was a cheap fix he would have got it done and sold it at a bargain price.... And it has to be de-coded to your specific car, it will not come with personal code to that specific unit, codes are stored in your car to suit your factory fit unit..

Might seem like a good deal at the time but you might end up buying a working one in the future any way :-/

Hmmm *if* it is only the CD drive that is shot, then you'd still need the code, a mic, (possibly) a fascia) and a DAB aerial. (so say roughly another £80 or so). If it were me, I'd think about it very carefully and see how the bidding goes too. If it's as described, and stays low, could be a bargin, otherwise you could end up with an expensive brick on your desk.
