Another Air Filter Question

Featured Replies

I have seen various threads about air filters but does anyone have any opinions on pipercross viper or vis kits or am I better just to fit an element ? No other mods as yet but thinking about a remap. All replies gratefully received.

Cheers, Gordon

P.S it's an Octy vRS

would be a good mod as its a sealed, shielded system :)

The induction kits seem to work well, but you need to insure you get a decent cold air feed to it or it will just be sucking in hot air from the engine :D I just opted for a replacement element cos I'm a cheap skate, and I want my car to be reasonably quiet :D

I've got a pipercross element, and it works just fine :)

I have recently purchased a standard Pipercross induction kit for my fabia.... except for the lack of 3 jubilee clips it is great, the noise is awsome! I hope it gives you some insite to what the viper kit is like.

Matt

The sound that you get from the induction kits are fantastic.

The panel filter is an option with a remap as this will allow better air flow.

The induction kit will lower the intake temps more than the panel filter though.

We will be doing the Pipercross filters at an excellent price soon.

But if you want any more info on the Pipercross range then look at this

 How does an induction kit lower induction temps more than a panel filter ?

The standard air box takes air right from the front of the car so intake air is going to be the same temp in each case. Thermal insulation of the intake pipes may give a small benefit though. Thanks for the info Sarah.
