Where In Scotland

Featured Replies

just curious as 2 where all the people north of the border get their cars remapped/chipped. jabba's miles away!

Star Performance have a good rep. as far as I know and are based in Fife. They do the APR chip which I have and think is awesome.

Hi Smerko,

If you are north of the Border and fancy a day at Star (rolling road, good discounts on APR stuff) speak to vRS_Barry as he is organising a day out for Skoda owners up there. We need ten+ people to make it worthwhile for them and it might be a way for us to have an 'unofficial' Scottish meet into the bargain.

Cheers

Hugh

im in scotland too, might go to jabba all the same, wont take that long..........i hope

Kenny.

If I were you I'd make a holiday of it over a couple of days, otherwise you'll be knackered !

I'd stay over on the way down then get a morning slot, and drive back up in the afternoon/evening ?

Mind you, we did do Oban in a day last month from the South East.

Kenny, i would strongly suggest an overnight trip of some sort.

I travelled down from Hartlepool to Jabba & back in 1 day.

The journey there was 3 hours.

The journey back took almost 6, due to traffic

yeah probably try that! how long does it take at jabba?

Mine took around 3 and a half hours, and was totally straightforward.

Add in a bit extra for DV's etc.

Half a day seems to be the average ;)

cool, think id have to stay overnite somewhere. what can you do while its getting done? anything round about? hopefuly would drive down get a hotel, next day jabba, then stay that nite then tracel back next day

Crowland has a nice medieval archway thing.... and a Co-op... er...

1/2 day definitely. Bring a good book / car mag to read !

Crowland also has 2 proper butchers shops , unusual for a place of it's size , so you can stock up on Lincolnshire sausage :D

Also lots of places where you can buy sandwiches. The arch takes at most 5 minutes to climb, stand on and look at everything twice, phone Mum, then climb down. I think the place (ie Crowland) is best described as nothing in the middle of nowhere. :(

any pubs etc?
