OEM vRS Mudflaps

Featured Replies

I've searched all over the site because thought surely someone would've asked this question before but can't find it anywhere. Sorry if it's a repost, I did try! Lol

The OEM mudflaps that you can get from Skoda or Superskoda say they aren't compatible with the vRS, but has anyone fitted them? I want to get some front and rear flaps ordered so I can fit them as soon as I get the car on 1st March.

If there's no way of getting the OEM ones to fit, can anyone advise of any OEM-look ones that do fit?

Thanks in advance guys!

I've got front and back on mine mate. VRS Diesel estate. Bought from Superskoda and fitted myself. They go on no problem. It's more of a "ride height and catching on kerbs" issue that the incompatibility comes in. But my don't catch. Incidentally I got both sets cheaper from Superskoda than one set from dealers. And they are genuine parts delivered in Skoda packaging. You'll be fine with them.

I have them too. Fit fine.

Ditto, they fit just fine, no issues whatsoever.

Hortons Skoda do them for a reasonable price at times, check their website

Pictures of them fitted??

I have had my dealer fit them front and rear on 2 mk3 vrs estates now and had no quibbles about fitting them.

Yep, fitted the SuperSkoda ones to my vRS hatch front and rear a couple of weeks ago. A piece of cake to fit, and no issues. No need to remove the wheels. They are very effective too.

Taken yesterday, 16" winter wheels on.

Isn't there some issue with not enough holes for the screws with the VRS?

Mine are attached without using the third fixing, never had a problem. :)

Thanks guys, really appreciate all the feedback. I'll get them ordered then! Anyone know roughly how long postage takes from Superskoda?

Last time I ordered it was about 8 days

Ah that's not too bad at all then tbf. Thanks :)

The rear flaps are fine - you just have to attach a clip to the wheel arch lining which comes with the flaps. To properly fit the fronts you need to drill a 7mm hole through some plastic. I managed to get my power drill in there with the steering on full lock and some juggling around. It's not a screw that goes in there but a push-in plug thing.

This is all as-per the instructions on the packaging.

That's fair enough, but tbh I don't think I'll be doing that, I think they'll be secure enough with 2 out of the 3 screws. That said, if they start wobbling or something I'll get that drill out quicker than anything lol

You should really do as Bennee mentions, that is the correct way.

I was lazy and attached them with just the two screws (I don't think I'm alone in doing that), that was well over a year ago, all has been fine.

There we go then, that decides it! I'll stick with the two for now.

I've just placed my order with Superskoda, so I'm now £170 lighter...  lol! But I have bought everything else I needed/wanted, which would've came to well over £250 if I'd bought from the stealers, so I don't mind too much :)

Haven't a clue how you fit them as mine were done by the dealer already. No problems with them though, they fit fine and there's plenty of clearance.

Obligatory pic:

(Okay, you can't see them very well, but never mind. You can, however, see a little where they fix onto the car at the front)20151209_113514%202.jpg)

I fitted the front ones on mine with the three fixings. Yes you have to drill the arch liner, but it isn't difficult. I took the wheels off just to make the whole thing easier!

Fitted mine from Superskoda last week while fitting the winters.  No issues at all, vRS Estate.

£12 from superskoda for the rears along with some roof bars for £117, I bought the fronts from my local dealer or £32

Try Burns Skoda parts in Ireland. Purchased mine from them over Xmas..no probs with postage & at time cheaper than Superskoda for OE parts.
