Part number or schematic drawing help

Featured Replies

I'm having a 'chat' with Skoda UK at the moment over some warranty work on my 2015 Octavia III.  One of the items is the front door seals causing water to be retained.

Some dealerships are replacing the seals and others are applying the recommended 'fix' of puncturing the door seal to allow the water to drain.  Mine's had the 'fix' done.

My question to Skoda was why was I being told there is no modified door seal, and if that's the case, why are people having their seals replaced?  And secondly, why does my car get its seals punctured but other people are getting new seals?

The discussion thread's in the Octy III sub forum:

But I'm posting here in the hope that someone who has access to ETKA or similar can show me a description, or parts diagram for part numbers S5E0837698B and S5E0837697B.

TIA
