Proof of Fabia build quality!

Featured Replies

Its increasing rapidly!

Have a look on this very forum - and what do you see?

Fabia 1; 50775 topics, 536000+ postings

Fabia 2; 11750 topics, 164000 postings

And voila:

Fabia 3; 513 topics, 8875 postings!

No more needs for complaining!

So by empirical evidence we hereby can prove that the mk 3 is by far the best build Fabia ever! B)

(So sorry, its an incredibly gloomy sunday afternoon... :) )

I am so pleased that wasn't pictures of a badly damaged Fabia.

Could be that everyone is bored out of their heads with them and has nothing to say.

Have a look up at the All new 3rd Generation Owners Register

and see how few Briskoda Members have listed their cars there cars in 14 months.

Not many, very few.

See how few Skoda Fabia Mk3 are actually on the roads around the world and how many online are unhappy with the Skoda behaviour over new Technology on the dash board.

Skoda might get a big up on Build Quality and Quality Control once they have a decent number of cars pn the road that have covered

a higher mileage than many have so far,

as to Customer Services with Skoda UK and in other world regions, then that looks like being pants.

I think we should look at the figures after cars like mine pre week 22 come out of Skodas 3 year warranty and what their residual are like. I hope pfaff's figures are right and the Mk 3 is their best built Skoda. Was a passenger in my sisters 3 month old Yetti today she is really pleased with it and its 2 litre engine gave it some welly. Sorry but this data you're using, it is way out by anyone's book. The 1st gen Fabia is now between 9 and 17 years old, there are bound to be more issues than a 1 to 9 year old car and there are bound to be more issues with those than with a car that is only 1 year old at most, and not very many of them for that matter. So actually your topic says nothing about reliability.

sorry just playing with the one touch windows on my mk2.

At least we know that after all these years and the 4th version of the Skoda Fabia in the form of the 3rd Generation Fabia will

not have sticky rear brake drums on the models that still have rear drums.

There will be no water ingress to the cabin and no condensation issues.

So Skoda learned from all their years of Motorsport Heritage and Success and have built the ultimate Fabia that they could produce.

(for as little expense as possible.)

things i feel are lacking  / or a bit off since i got it .

1/ the front grill stone protection is not acceptable - will have to add mesh behind it to protect the rads / coolers

2/ sound deadening seems thin and ineffective at motorway speeds

3/ suffers from breath steaming on windscreen very easliy

4/ a lot of rain based dust seems to get on the door sills inside  ,   and also cling to the sides and rear.

5/ mpg is still pretty heavy after 5000 kmh , even on a light drving style.

6/ brakes feel a little soft .

As for 3: mine misted insanely in the beginning. After spending some time cleaning it quite decently a few times it has completely stopped. Now it mist way way less than my old car. If there is a little say on a cold morning it is quickly gone with the blower (like in 1 minutte or less)... I was quite frustrated in the beginning.

yeah mine mists alot lot less since i glass polished the inside  - this is true.

The misting on my car windows has improved after cleaning it with Auto Glym glass cleaner and I have put a bag of moisture absorbing crystals on the dashboard Joe

The answer is as always: AC on.

And do drive a longer distance now and then.

Both you and the car will be happier. And dry.
