General parking sensor kits

Featured Replies

I wouldn't mind fitting parking sensors on my Mk1 Fabia vrs so had a quick look on eBay, didn't relise you could buy a full kit, including drill bit for fitting and other accessories etc for around £10!

They even sell them colour coded as well.

So my question, has anyone bought and fitted any kits they can recommend? I want somthing OEM as I can get really, don't want any flashy distance box just a simple beep will do.

I bought a kit off of fleabay for the wife's mk2 Fabia in 2010. Colour coded and easy to fit. The wires for the sounder unit were too short to reach the B pillar, so I had to extend them. The bumper on the mk2 is marked on the inside for the position of the sensors. I pilot drilled from the inside then drilled with the holesaw from the outside so the burr or hole breakout was on the inside.

They are still working 5 1/2 years later.

Yep, I bought a kit off ebay for, I think, £12.  Got shot of the OEM kit and it worked perfectly ever since with no problems, or errors.  Was a while ago now:

Pretty sure it's this kit I bought:

But I also got this kit for my Dad's car - which was equally good and he liked the visual display:

It's a bit cold for DIY at the moment.... I see you are in the North East...... Autosounds on Scotswood road in Newcastle will fit rear sensors for £99. I have used this company since it started in the West End of the city and find their work first class and great value.

I had an electrical problem on my Tiguan when I had it. The dealer couldn't, or wouldn't, fix it... Auto sounds did it while I had a cup of coffee!

I don't think I can get one colour matched to race blue so will need to paint them myself I think.

I'm going to have to see if I can get a good OEM looking one, want the sensors to be quite small like standard and not have to have a big ring around them all.

I fitted one of the ebay kits a couple of years ago,i painted mine to get a perfect colour match & they are still working fine with no problems, easy enough to fit. Total cost inc the paint was £25.

My octy is race blue & i painted mine to get a perfect colour match as i couldnt find a ebay set that was a good colour match. Mine are the type with the ring round & they look fine on the octy.
