Dear sir I  have a roomster 1.4 3 cylinder diesel and the oil pump chain has broken  .The chain is all in one which means i will have to strip all the front of the engine down .If i fit a chain with a link in it i can do it from below with just the sump off

will a linked chain  be acceptable i know for a fact a linked chain is fitted on some mercs 

We used to use a bike chain spliter on corsa timing chains and then re join it with the tool , I wouldn't use a link joiner link.

how do i time the balance shaft on roomster
