Superb 3.6 FSI engine cover - Part number querry

Featured Replies

Hello All,

A pre-owned Superb 3.6 FSI (2010) was recently purchased in our family. We had noticed that the plastic cover on top of the engine cover, which hides the ignition coil/spark cables and has the V6 badged on it, to be broken. As it was only a cosmetic damage, it wasn't a deal breaker.

Only a few Superb 3.6 FSIs were sold in India, last of them in late 2011. The dealer workshop is not sure whether they can source the item and can neither provide a part number. I also tried searching the web for the particular plastic cover and its part number, but no luck so far. Can someone here help me out with the part number for this plastic cover? I have picture of the broken one in our car, but can't figure out how to upload and paste it here.

Kind Regards,
Avinash

Picture for reference: The plastic cover I am referring to is the long horizontal one containing the V6 badge. Underneath it are the HT cables for ignition coil / spark (I assume)

Had a look at the part numbers stamped on that part on my car.

Says  03H 971 797B   but that's for a 2014 car, maybe same.   Still cant find it on any search. part is called "cable guide"  so its ht cable guide.

You could fit on of these.... :giggle: ........https://www.ecstuning.com/ES275915/?utm_source=eBayCommerce&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=US.ShoppingFeed

Thanks a ton for finding that part number. I think it is the same part with a skoda emblem instead of VW. 03H971797 is a revision to 03H971839E.

I will provide the same to Skoda dealer workshop at my hometown. Most likely, they will not able to source it. I would then buy the VW badged one and swap out the badge myself (it seems to be removable).

I checked with my local Skoda dealer as well as Skoda India and they are unable to provide a part number for the conduit.

The part number for the cable cover in VW cars is 03H971797, and the same with a Skoda emblem (Superb 3.6) is 03H971797A.  So bought one of these from ECS tuning ( https://www.ecstuning.com/ES275915/?utm_source=eBayCommerce&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=US.ShoppingFeed ) and will replace the logos once they arrive.

Thanks again james0james.
