Early model Citigo?

Featured Replies

My recently purchased Citigo Elegance was first registered March 2013 and does not match the user manual provided in at least two unexplained areas.

The buttons on the windscreen wipe stalk are missing,

The reversing display is a separate module in front of the gear lever.

Is there anyone out there who knows why this might be?

I think the 2 buttons you might be referring to might be the trip computer which is an option on the elegance, and the display you refer to sounds like a retro fit rather than factory.

Cheers, Having researched the latest Skoda offering, I found a 2013 model which appeared to have what I wanted at half the price. Unfortunately, neither I nor the second-hand car salesman knew what was standard on the 2013 model and we both jumped to the wrong conclusion.

As you say, the reversing display turns out to be a Maplins retrofit of a wireless Nikkai sensor pack - I should have cottoned on quicker.

The missing trip computer buttons on the wiper stalk is still puzzling as the pid has a trip computer.

I havent got a Citigo.

But the buttons on the end of the stalk usually control something in the dash. MFD, maxidot or whatever the vehicle has

The little buttons on the binnacle bit when pressed reset the trip and select the display on the miniature display in the binnacle.

The PID will show the trip miles as it is in the miniature display, the other info of range etc is direct from the vehicles canbus, which the PID is connected too.

My 2013 Sport has these buttons, as you say they control the trip/mpg etc.... in the dash board (basically the same info you get on displayed in the PID + a little more). I believe this feature (the buttons and a few other things) are normally part of the comfort or convenience pack(one of them) but were included on the Sport as standard. I know the Monte for example doesn't have them...

So I guess whether you have them or not will depend on what the original buyer specified OR the build year and model.....it a lucky dip really lol

I mean, my Sport only has on electric window switch on the drivers side, my friends 2015 Monte has two.......but doesn't have the switch on the stalk like mine does. Skoda seem to like to swap and change base spec lol
