Anyone used Unipart pads recently?

Featured Replies

About to change the pads for the first time at getting on for 60k miles, and the choice appears to be Pagid for £42 or Unipart for £16. Now even if the Unipart ones last half as long as the Pagid I'm still up, but I'd be interested to know if anyone has used Unipart to confirm if (a) they fit OK and (b ) they haven't killed you yet...

What's the one part of your car you wouldn't really want to skimp on...probably the brakes!

I'm sure they'll be fine and are manufactured to standard, but I'd probably choose the branded one.

Have you tried Andrew Page or GSF? They normally stock makes like Ferodo or Mintex which are decent brands too.

I fitted Mintex to my Audi and they were VG. Did the complete fronts for £65...inc discs.

Pagid would get my vote. OE for alot of large vehicle manufacturers

Agreed. Had Rover Mini's for many years. Unipart aren't what they once were....literally! A different company just with the Unipart name.

Yep, they are factors of dubious quality, low cost components from afar. No manufacturing any more.

Don't get me started on Unipart Rail............

I thought Unipart went into administration a few years back. Years ago I fitted Unipart disc rotars and discs to Fiat Multipla. They outlasted the Fiat fitted ones.
