I think it does say in the handbook that "it" will decide on whether the stop start

is required and under what circumstances.

Mine behaves perfectly now I operate the OFF Button!

And here! Unless I forget and it takes me by surprise!

 

I had a bit of a tester as well this morning, had to use the manual handbrake a couple of times!

 

One thing I'm really glad has moved on is not having to use a manual choke on a cold morning. I have them on a number of motorbikes but I can live with that as they are just for fun.

I pulled up at traffic lights with the stop start ON  the engine stopped,

I depressed the clutch selected 1st and got the message Manual Restart.

Oh dear!

Not unusual. There can be lots of reasons even down to having the air con working hard.
