Need to swap my silver 18" Zenith alloys for Pegasus, Cassiopeias or Supernovas...

Featured Replies

Hey guys, in the unlikely event any of you with lighter body colours want lighter alloys to match, I'm happy to swap my silver Zeniths for your darker / anthra cassiopeias, pegasus or other design except helios. Brand new car with 30 miles on it so alloys are immaculate, please let me know. Light silver just doesn't look right with quartz paint...

If I can't get somebody to swap (with cash their way for hassle) I'll just buy a new set for £680 instead or get the Zeniths spary painted anthra.

19s a no-go given that I'd need to get new tyres :(

Based in Putney SW London.

So I got a quote from the dealer; The turbine alloys was a straight NO you can't have them(!) because they're restricted to the L&K, and they wanted £1,000 to fit it with Cassiopeias. So I said no....

Turbine alloys (Pegasus) aren't restricted to L&K, dealer is talking rubbish. In anthracite they are standard on L&K but in silver they are optional extra on SE, SE-L and L&K.

That's what I thought too, but given that the Cassiopeia's are a grand the Pegasus would be more and it's simply too much at their RRP so I'll simply look out for a set privately or try to swap with someone on the forum.

You are getting ripped off if you have been quoted 1k for Cassiopeias. Official Skoda Superb 18" Anthracite wheels all cost the same, regardless of design. So Anthracite 18" Zenith / Pegasus / Cassiopia cost £186 each (£744 for a set of 4) and that's the price I paid at my dealers for 4 x Zenith Anthracite back in November to take care of my winter tyres (see my pictures here http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/367311-the-superb-iii-picture-thread/page-11#entry4476004).

Supernovas only come in 19" so if you get those you would need new tyres and the wheel costs alone are close to 1K a set for those.

Bear in mind the prices I quoted are parts only. You'll need to factor in garage costs to take your current wheels off, change the tyres over to the new wheels then get those balanced and fitted.

Yes I was expecting something around £700 for the alloys and 60 quid for fitting. They have given me an OK deal on the actual car though lol...

Get them powder coated in a different colour for 350 ish?

Remember the black silver diamond cut alloys look lovely, but they only last a couple of years before the lacquer starts lifting.

The single colour alloys are more durable.

I believe you're dealer is talking crap. You can't order a new car with Pegasus Anthracite wheels unless it's an L&K because that's how Skoda UK have specified the options, but they are available as an after-sales option.

Anthracite Pegasus = 3V0 071 498H HA7

(Silver Pegasus = 3V0 071 498G 8Z8)
