Columbus Sat Nav M2 1.8 tsi Elegance

Featured Replies

Off to Belgium tomorrow... Started fiddling with sat Nav and thought I'd see what happens when I popped the sat Nav disc in, having never bothered before as it worked perfectly fine... I wish I hadn't now. On the start up completing I press 'map' and all I get is 'please insert navigation dvd'. When I put the disc in it works but now cds can't be used and the Nav memory is blank.

What have I done wrong? And how can I stop this?? Help!! I need this tomorrow to work!

Not sure why it's done that. In any event I wouldn't think there's much mileage in fiddling with it too much now if you need it tomorrow. I'd just run with the disc in it until you have time to play properly with it, without the possibility of knacking it completely when you need it.

As a pointer I would suggest that a maps partition reformat and a reinstall of said maps might be a good starting point (if you have to ask how, you need specialist software) or even a maps upgrade might produce the desired effect.
