Leg Room in Fabia Estate

Featured Replies

Hi

Come over from the Yeti side to ask a question

My Wife has a MK3 Fabia 2015

I really like driving it as the 1.2 DSG leaves the 1.2 Yeti in its dust

The only drawback is the seat position makes it cramp for my 6ft frame

Now the trusty old Yeti is in for some final warranty work and the local dealer has given me a 15 plate Fabia Estate.

Bingo fantastic leg room in the estate but the 1ltr engine is gutless

My question is do the Fabia estates have a longer front floor pan compared to the standard or is our Fabia seat out of adjustment.

I am seriously thinking of downsizing as the Fabia Estate meets my needs far better than the Yeti.

Nothing seriously wrong with Yeti the heated front screen has developed failed elements apart from that nearly 3 years of faultless driving 36000 miles done

Thanks

Dimensions are the same for the front end. Only the boot is different so it must be something else that's bothering you in SWAMBO's Fabia.

Yep there should be no difference.

Are both seats at the same height adjustment? Is the steering wheel reach set the same?

I find quite a bit of a difference in fit and comfort from the Hatch & Estate in the new Fabias just with the different seats.

Only driven the DSG's but been a passenger in most of the models.

the 'Sports' seats do not suit me.

Which ever Fabia i am in driving i need the seat fully back, and to drive i want it adjusted low.

I'm 6'2" with 33" in-seam and I fit the hatch or estate fine. I don't even need the drivers seat all the way back, and as I say, I've got very long legs. Check the seat is going all the way back, check it's height, seat back rake, and the steering adjustment. You should be able to get the ideal position in any of the Fabias.

Sports seats and 34" legs do fit well. Suppose the seat is all way back.
