Dealer c$£k up!

Featured Replies

It states 'Black cloth' on the interior on the order from - dealer has admitted the fault.

Excellent, dealer hasn't got a leg to stand on then.

Thank you all for your input on this one. I phoned up the sales manager and said swapping the trims over is not an option I wish to pursue!

I agree, he was highly embarrassed by the mistake - however as a business, they must be accountable to this and ensure they show good will. At the time, I got the feeling he was insinuating that certain offers (£500 fuel) would not be given on a new order etc - didn't seem like the attitude of someone trying to look after their customer. I phoned up the sales manager this morning and he was more than happy to help. I explained that I'm now looking at a Vrs (why not?!) so he is going to see what stock is available with the extras I want. If it comes to ordering a new car and waiting 3 months, I did explain I'd expect to see some form of compensation as a show of good will. He is very eager to resolve the problem.

I'm now looking at a Vrs with colour maxi dot, heated front seats, black pack and sunset glass as extras. He's checking stock (but I'm certain there wont be any available in that spec!). Next step will be to order a new one on Monday and squeeze as much discount from them as possible!

Still a pain in the arse, but hopefully in a few months time, when I'm driving around in a Vrs I'll look back as it being a case of divine intervention!

I would honestly walk away and just go to another dealer, I accept mistakes happen but the fact there is even a question mark around your original offers at POS such as the fuel incenitve suggests customer satisfaction is not high on their list of priorities.

If you do decide to re-order would certainly recommend the VRS

Too right - the one I have seen in Rio Red with Beige interior and the Wood Effect Trim looked top notch - made you want to say 'Jaaag'

Depends what "beige" it is. Our L&K has "brown" interior trim, but in everything but strong sunlight it looks black. However, the Rio Red is fabulous - rich and classy. I'd go for it.

Walk away.....it's only a car

customer satisfaction. It doesn't take much to put things right :)

If you and the dealer are both happy then win win!

Good result. You will be delighted with the VRS. Best of luck.

Good to hear! Now just enjoy the agonising wait... Lol

So the day came yesterday and I picked up my VRS. Quartz grey. Bloody love it so far! It's a world away from my peugeot! All the niggles that I've been reading about on here haven't presented themselves to me yet. I have no problem with noise levels - maybe it's because I have nothing better to compare it to other than my pug and a rover 200 before that!

Glad to hear buddy. I've only had positive comments from people about mine. Should give you many years of joy.

Welcome to the vRS owners group and in choosing the best possible colour for your shiny steed (obviously I'm biased). ;-).

My last car was also 307 sports version (don't even remember the model) as it was 3.5 years ago. I'm loving my car.

Agreed :) only other colour I would choose is rallye green, the more I see it the more I love it

I nearly went with Rallye Green but my sensible side beat me to it.........and my car got its build week before I got round to changing it.

Here she is.

Nice colour   . When I decided on a vRS before Xmas they had a Meteor Grey with Black Pack, kind of wishing I got that colour now. The first day I drove my Blue vRS home I saw a vRS in Blue but a year older, needless to say we gave each over the Nod  :nerd: .

I am surprised how quickly the blue shows dirt. Looking forward to summer and giving a good clean, polish and Wax then the wait for some stupid pigeon to spoil it  :envy:
