Annoying clunk, knock, bang when releasing clutch pedal

Featured Replies

HI so I have this problem almost from day purchasing my car. When I bought it it had 26000 miles now 33000 miles. When I start the car. Car idling in neutral i press the clutch all the way down hold it 1-2 seconds and resale it like you would do in normal driving conditions it clunks. I does not do it when doing it gently. I does it in gears as well but not all the time. But I can replicate it in neutral all the time. I have no problems changing gear no noise cluttering rattling like others describe when having problems with clutch or DMF. Only think comes to my mind is clutch release bearing? Its extremely annoying as I dont know if its a serious problem. The clunk does not get worse but not knowing what it is pi@@ing me off. I want to make a trip to Spain in the summer 2000 miles round trip dont want any nasty surprises. ANYONE PLS??? or anyone knows a TRUSTED garage in MANchester???

Hi levon87, i have the same problem as described above. Did you find out what's causing this? Is this an issue or simply normal noise? Thank you
