Hi All

          Trying to source a MFSW air bag loom for up and coming retro fit I believe that this is the part I need  ... 1K0 971 584 C , but not 100%  I have the high-line control module & MFSW steering wheel, note to self 'should have done more research ' 

         There are a few on 'tbay, but before I press the button....

I believe that FL models need 3T0971584 or 3T0971584A and pre-FL need 1K0971584C if that helps

I've got an unused one from when I was going to retrofit a MFSW in my pre-FL Octavia.

No part number in it though. Will add a picture.

  The only difference i can see it how the wires from the yellow connector are routed ? 

I got one from Skodateile a few years ago when I put a MFSW in my vRS. Quite a few of the items advertised now are no longer available but, if not already done so, might be worth dropping an email to Ales to check what he has in stock.

Just found the factory fitted loom I removed my O2 FL MFSW when I fitted the MK3 MFSW.

 

Part number is 3T0 971 584 and I checked the pinout with a multimeter for you to compare.

 

Yellow connector

3 - airbag connector

4 - airbag connector

7 - brown wire + buttons pin 3

9 - buttons pin 1

10 - buttons pin 2

 

There is also a blue wire which has two crimps and connects to pin 4 on the buttons - this wire does not have a pin on the yellow connector.

 

On the pre-FL loom I think the pins to the buttons are connected in a different order but you'd need to check and change as necessary.

It was originally for a MK3 Fabia and I never tried the buttons it came with as I had bought some MK2 superb ones (5E0 919 719 F) at the same time.

 

I wouldn't expect them to work correctly but if I remember when it's warmer I might try them out

    I have the high-line steering controller its just the loom I'm stuck on. Have messaged Ed, he is going to check on parts data base.

Can you tell me which loom you used as I need to get the loom, Superb FL buttons, CH controllor and an airbag for it now.

If you have any of these spare please let me know!

Just notice you posted which loom you are running,  I've just bought the 5E0419091AQ HTH MFSW VRS steering wheel, I just need to source an airbag and the appropriate loom.  

 

This maybe a stupid question, Would be possible to recycle my current PreFL airbag in FL/MK3 housing for the steering wheel?
