Hi all I made this video review of my Octavia half year ago when I was thinking of starting my YouTube channel. Last month i lost my job, still working until end of March.

I sent some resumes. Company I work for was doing great business but owner Croatian telekom owned by Deutsche telekom fired around +200 employees, despite good work and earnings. IDK why? It sucks. Syndicat is worthles and betrade us all.   :(

 

In the meantime I am thinking what to do next? And I was thinking of YouTube. 

I like making videos and like cars, gadgets and seams lots of people are making money these days on internet.

I uploaded my video uploading Amundsen MIB I and it got +700 views around world in on month! I was like wow!    And only did ti to help you guys here on forum.

It cross my mind now If I get 1K views on my review video I could ask my colleagues husband which works in local Skoda dealer to give me some cars for review. But I need some sort of reference. So 1K views should be a good reference. And if I make few good car videos I might help getting other brands.

 

FYI there going to be a car show in in Zagreb early April. Which I am going to attend and make a video.

 

So If you guys watch my video and subscribe it would help me alot and I would appreciate your help very much!

 

It's hard losing your job and I am trying to be positive and optimistic about whole thing while searching for new one.  :sun:

 

I was thinking for past year I want to do something beside my regula job, something fun something I enjoy working on and helping other people. (Before I was blogger for on web sight for 2 years and we had now some redesign and plan on doing more.) Making videos gave me that opportunity. When I think 700 people watched my video thats 3 times more people that worked with me in company I worked! And I didn't know all of them. And if I helped at least 10% of those who watched it it makes me happy.

You Tube works in funny way. You need subscribers and views. At first my goal is to make videos and build my audience. Then in long run I can monetize my videos and start making som money doing what I like.

 

So I am going to make videos anyway. Your help is much appreciated cuz briskoda community helped me a lot which I am grateful. Best regards Croat.

Well it was little awkward doing this at first people wear stopping by looking what was I doing why am I speaking english? Than they realise what i'm doing and went away.

I lost the awkwardness and am comfortable doing this in public now.

Couldn't remember at first when I was shooting video all I wanted to say. Nothing some more experience couldn't solve. Cuz I real know my car in detail. Will probably do on more video on Octavia. My goal is to get new Superb for a test drive and do a review. Later maybe Octavia VRS.  :clap:

I am waiting for better weather and some sun to get a chance to make a new video.

Also planning a trip to Rimac factory, will see if they gave me a permission to make video of new electric car Concept_One production model.

Those numbers of views are a good start but I would say far too low for many companies to take you seriously and for it to provide any kind of income. If you look at the Youtubers who are making a living from it then they have millions of views etc. That said you have a good start and if you enjoy doing it then keep going as it can be a fun hobby. Try to develop something that is unique to you otherwise you are just another review/'how to do it' video and will struggle to build your 'brand'. Good luck with the future.
