I've been using Shell diesel extra for about 4 months now, filled up today for only 88.6p a litre in Leicester!

It occured to me that despite the price of fuel being WAY to high this was the cheapest i had ever seen this partucular type of fuel.

What about the rest of the UK? What's the price of it where you are?

i'm going to leicester tomorrow, which garage did you use. was going to fill up tomorrow anyway, might aswell put some good stuff in.

havn't posted here for ages, but now back, fit and well. with a new computer, too. should be able to get online more often.

Sheffield - Shell Diesel Extra - 89.9p per Litre - 12/12/2005

well, it was 91.8p.....but..........

then it went to 89.9p

and then the station decided it wasn't Diesel Extra and put stickers over the "Extra" bit on all the pumps.

Upon enquiry, "oh we never never did diesel extra, no, it's all normal diesel"

So why the refit on all the pump covers?

And Shell UK website lists them as stocking Diesel Extra......

and the local BP station has a whopping great banner saying Ultimate Diesel, which they don't do....

Branting Hill on the A50 (off the A46 Leicester Western Bypass) There's also one at the Trocadero on Uppingham Road and Oadby on the A6.

Locally Shell Diesel Extra is the same prices as Jet, Morrisons and Tesco. It's wavering at 88.9p but can be 87.9 sometimes!

Went yesterday to get some Shell Diesel Extra - the two Shell stations near me didn't have any. Which was a first. I liked the classy way they'd blanked out the word "extra" with insulation tape at the pump! Oh and it was 88.9p/l

The standard diesel was noticeably more sooty - it's the first time I've used any in the Furby. On the upside this means I managed soot out an impatient Mini Cooper driver three times on the way home from work.
