Help, Need a VIN number.

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am from Taiwan and I am a Fabia mk3 owner. I found the height of  Fabia mk3 in Taiwan is normally higher than other countries. After questioning the importer, they said that because Taiwan is classified to the south Asia, which is the area that will have flood influences. Many Fabia owner in Taiwan desire to have the chances to lower the height by applying skoda original springs and suspensions. But we could not find the right springs and suspensions we needed in workshop parts systems because we use the VIN number we have in Taiwan.

So please anyone could help us by offering your car's  chassis number(VIN) to me. So we could use the VIN number to look up the skoda ETCA parts system to find the right part number.

We really need your help. Thanks.

We have 1.2tsi with DSG grarbox. wheel with 2 size:15 and 16 inches.

Mmm........I wonder? Why would you give anyone your VIN no.? Maybe I'm just too suspicious!

So am i suspicious. (about everything always & nosey!!.)

But then anyone can walk up to my car or anyone elses & look in the passenger side of the windscreen and read it and write down the number.

Not sending it to anyone though other than the DVLA etc.

Maybe one way forward, to the OP, could you please tell us what the colour "blobs" are on your front and rear springs?

I know maybe some of you will be suspicious.  But in fact, I could only use your vin number to search for the part. Besides, the vin number is right on your windscreen so anyone could see it. I couldn't because I am in Asia...........

Let me put it in this way, I use my vin number to look up the spring and suspension part number as followings, could anyone check the same part number by your vin number. If the part numbers are different than mine, please tell me the part numbers so I could use your part number to order the parts.....

many thanks

Those are VW Polo Diesel Springs 2011 on as far as a quick google shows, so likely other VW Group models.

So do you want Lowering Springs for a MK3 1.2 DSG,

or just Standard or Sport Springs for a 1.2 TSI DSG and the part number?
