Im looking to change the halogen number plate bulbs to led, and was wondering if anyone has fitted the all in one units from Superskoda (mega power leds),looking for some feed back on how bright they are, would like a clean white light, but dont see the need in them being overly bright.

 

You might have been better in the Octavia 2 section rather than technical guides.

 

I fitted something very similar to my car, I think I used this supplier as they were cheapest at the time http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Canbus-LED-License-lamp-For-SKODA-Octavia-1Z-Roomster-5J-LED-License-Plate-Light-auto-car/32266687563.html - they were only £13 when I bought them and I'm sure with a little searching you could find them cheaper than £16.39.

Coding was simple, it's byte 17, bit 7 in the BCM to disable PWM and I've not had a problem with them since. As your car is a 2012 then I'd expect your BCM to support LED number plate lights so you probably won't need the resistors to avoid bulb warning messages.
