Aye,  the Thread Police will be along in a minute to yank us all back on course.  Before they do,  I'll just state that there are charities "out there" who will gladly collect unwanted tools of all descriptions for redistribution to needy folk in the Third World etc.  I've mentioned it to the wife,  since neither of my sons knows the difference between a screwdriver and a MIG welder.  You'd have thought they'd have picked up a bit of practical knowledge watching their old dad down the years,  but NO!

It's alright, it isn't time for the Australian to join in yet!!

If anyone wants to donate old spanners and sockets, especially Whitworth ones, the Corris Railway would be very appreciative!! I volunteer there every Tuesday.

Whitworth, BSF, UNF, AF, BA, Metric, plus a few weird and wonderful misfits:  got 'em all.....somewhere.  They never come out these days though.  When I finally "pop me clogs" someone will find a veritable Aladdin's cave in my garage!

Since buying a 1973 Triumph Tiger 750 I've had to invest in some imperial spanners etc!

Used to work on such things when I was young but using my Dad's tools.

Yawn.....

What's that?..........sadly I had to rationalise my holdings prior to the move and unless you're a techie type you're pretty much redundant, at least whilst under warranty and fixed price servicing.........zzzzzzz

One of my boys doesn't even drive, his wife does that (oh the shame) and the other has never lifted the bonnet.......we're a dying breed outside of the trades.
