large clock display on columbus

Recommended Posts

I stumbled across by mistake - it's in the main Columbus setup menu - something like large clock display when off.

It only displays a clock when the unit is switched off and ignition on.

Here you go, from the manual:

Press MENU - then the COGS icon - then screen:

  • Switch off screen (in 10 seconds) - Enable / disable the automatic power off function

  • Brightness: - Adjusts the brightness of the screen

  • Touchscreen tone - Switch on/off audible tone when touching the screen

  • Animation when finger near screen - Switch on/off the proximity sensors (suppression of some function keys)

  • Show clock in standby mode - Time and date displayed on the screen when the ignition is switched on and the unit is switched off

That's neat, shame you cannot have it on when the unit is on, i.e. with the radio playing.

Or maybe you can?

Yep. Mine wasn't set for the clock to appear when the screen is off. That is no longer the case......

The option is in Menu > Settings > Screen Settings

And MEH.....I've been had by the dreaded duplicate thread monster  :notme:
