OctavIa mk2 face lift. Brake switch location

Featured Replies

Hi we have the dreaded flashing coils symbol of the dash occasionally only. Thinking of first changing the brake switch as it's cheap BUT the switch is not where it is in the guides for the mk2. Does anyone know where the switch is on the face lift model and how to access it please. Thanks

Probably worth getting a scan done before you start replacing parts.

It's on the master cylinder. Underneath. Sod to get too.

Thanks. Done scan no faults! Argggh! Fault only appears occasionally and car drives fine. Started happening in heavy rain a few weeks ago. Did it again yesterday. Switch is impossible to get to.

Nightmare to get at. Held in with a t30 bolt. Probably best bet is to remove the master cylinder. Replace the switch.
