Yeti Greenline Suspension Height

Featured Replies

Hello!

I hope this question isn't already answered elsewhere and I have missed it.

How difficult is it to restore a Greenline Yeti to standard ride height? Is it just standard springs, or standard springs and shocks, or it more complex than that?

Why would I want to? Well I live in rural Lincolnshire, I find that winter tyres are sufficient to deal with ungritted roads, but the condition of the roads is very poor, getting worse every year, I have to drive across rutted and flooded roads most days of the year, but I still want the economy of the 1.6 tdi because I drive 40miles to work.

Thank You HT

PS If this question is already answered, can you reply with a link please?

I suspect springs and shockers.

(Request Mods move this to the general Yeti section)

The ride height of the Greenline is about 25 mm lower than a "normal" Yeti.

12 mm is slightly lower springs and around 13 mm is lower profile 205/55/16 tyres and wheels.

You could immediaterly bump your yeti up about 13mm by fitting 215/60/16 tyres.(an accepted size.)and have deeper tyre side walls to boot.

Personally I wouldn't bother about the extra12 mm springs.

I've had "normal" Yetis and a Greenline and didn't notice any difference on or off road.

It's only the springs that are different, fitting standards plus 17" wheels with the right profile will do it.
