spare wheel space

Featured Replies

I have a Fabia 61 plate and where the spare wheel is in space behind bumper there is a foam removable mould with nothing in it but spaces its the width of boot any ideas what its for. I have the foam bit for jack and that, which fits in spare wheel.

Maybe its for a warning triangle, first aid kit and a fire extinguisher which is required by law in some countries?

As I'd hope that there is commonality across the VAG marques, that space etc, well the emergency triangle gets stored in a recess above the boot floor, just inside the hatch on the similar age Polo. The fire extinguisher tends to get stored at the side of the boot for easy access in the Polo as does the first aid kit. So maybe you are referring to the space for the tow bar etc?

This.

The 61 plate will be a mk2

Not sure what it is, but my triangle is under where the boot lid catch is, so to speak.
