Daughters Car

Featured Replies

Morning everyone,

Have just bought a car for my daughter; she's still learning. My dilemma is do I register it in her name or mine? I need to sort insurance as well.

Any advice would be greatfully received

have read that before hence the question. I don't want to be accused of fronting.

Stick it all in her name. Will help in the long run. Plus will also teach her the value of things and to look after it.

I'd put it in her name to help her become more families with the responsibilities that come with being the registered keeper.
If she's going to be the main driver this will be better as well as some insurance companies won't cover someone if they're the main driver, but not the registered keeper.

Insurers tend to rate on the riskiest driver anyway so the issue of fronting is disappearing.
