Brembos help pd100

Featured Replies

Hi

Thinking of planning out my next lot of upgrades one being the brakes

I really fancy a set of brembos off a Cupra r or s3 etc

My only issue is I've no idea where to start as there is plenty of guides on how to do these mods on a 130 but not a pd100

Please point me in the direction if I've missed a thread that is about this issue

Is this on a 9n Polo?

In my experience, they can be fitted with either set of brakes on the 100hp, so it's hard to say whether you need to change the hubs or just calipers and carriers.

yeah 1.9tdi polo pd100, how would I be able too tell if I don't require different hubs?

Front brakes at the moment are 256mm and it's an 02 plate if this is any help

You will need to change the hubs over as you will be running FSIII brakes as standard.

What hubs? Will 130s do or can I use the hubs off the s3 etc?

Only the VRS and the 2.0 MPI have the correct hubs and 288mm brakes as standard.

Ibiza cupra has them as well

You can use the hubs off a Fabia VRS and the rest is bolt on, I think you'll need 17" wheels as well to clear the callipers

Ibiza cupra has them as well

I meant Fabias, obviously, most Golf 4's and Boras have 288 brakes and the self-same hubs. I used Golf 4 TDI TRE's that I was given for free on my 2.0 MPI, they're identical.

MK4 calipers and carriers are the same but hubs etc are not.

Need the same hubs as Fabia/Polo/Ibiza

Ibiza cupra has them as well

Any 130hp Ibiza/Cordoba does, my 5dr has them, as do some of the lower powered cars.
