Buying a used Blackline VRS

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I took a new vrs out for a test drive at the weekend. (Diesel Manual).

Love the car,but can't justify the 27k Price tag.

I've seen a very low mileage blackline estate for sale:

http://www4.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201511148705847?price-to=15000&sort=pricedesc&radius=1501&transmission=manual&fuel-type=diesel&model=octavia&postcode=B17%200RU&page=1&make=skoda&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&aggregatedTrim=vRS&search-target=usedcars&logcode=p

Too expensive?  I spoke to the dealer and he claimed there was no movement - even for a cash deal?  It does also come with a 12 month Skoda warranty, which is an advantage over buying privately....

I've wanted a VRS estate for a long time..... any thoughts?

Thanks

Si

Welcome to the forum.

Leave your number and tell the salesperson to call when they will move on the price by reducing it.

That should likely be by the end of this month when desperate to get it shifted.

Even though it is low mileage it is out of the Original Manufacturers Warranty,

so even though it gets a Skoda Approved Used Car status and 12 month Warranty,

if you go for it be sure the Full Main Dealer Service History has full Scheduled Servicing done,

so that includes the Brake Fluid Change done at 3 years, and if it was on Varaiable Servicing a Service Done before you collect it, Oil & Filter and Pollen Filter.

What do you reckon is a decent price?

I was hoping they'd moved below 13750 as the new ones are on 0% with 1k contribution at the moment.

Am i dreaming?

Thanks for this - is there a link to the servicing schedule on here somewhere?

Cheers
