What is this area for?

Featured Replies

Just realised that nothing ever seems to go in this area of the dash....

Any idea if it's used for anything?

Isn't that just black plastic?

This shiny metal thingy goes there :)

Nothing.

To put a picture of your favourite supermodel over!

That area is for official use only.

Seams a bit pointless; just looked like it should be warning lights or something but not to worry. Thanks for the replies anyway!

It's for people to take photographs of it, highlight it in white, and then post it on a forum.

So far, it appears to be 100% successful.

;)

I assumed it was branding... It's very similar to the line under the Skoda logo on all the manuals and brochures. It's also been on all the letters I've received.

i think i'll just forget about it amd ignore it...

Surely it can be activated with VCDS ??? :giggle:

It's where the little camera for the driver fatigue warning and the annoying lane assist take over steering warning is placed, so the car can see if you are holding the steering wheel and if you are in need of a cup of coffee. ;-)

I'm putting tape over mine then, I like a coffee while I drive :)
