Hi, I want to fit a pair of roof bars and remove the rear roof antenna when I'm carrying sheet timber. I tried twisting the stick but it seems stuck fast. Does the antenna stick come off leaving the base attached, or does it have some other kind of twist and lock arrangement?

Just unscrew the rubber aerial off, need to grasp as low down as possible or you may damage it by twisting if tight.

Thanks, mine seems very tight, maybe it has never been undone?  I think I will have to use some soft jaw grips or a rubber strap right at the bottom where I suspect the thread is moulded in.

Thanks - It's off now. Had to twist it really hard at the bottom.
