Noise from Vacuum Solenoid Block

Noise from Vacuum Solenoid Block

(The black plastic box on the bulkhead with 7 vacuum pipes connected to it)

From Darkside developments site:

‘Common symptoms of failure are boost issues, EGR /Emissions faults or a buzzing/vibrating noise coming from under the bonnet.’

I am experiencing boost issues –much improved with recon turbo but not quite 100%. I have been aware of this box occasionally making a noise since I got the car 4 years ago (although only recently realised that this was where it was coming from) Only notice the noise after switch off but this may just be because I would struggle to hear it over engine running.

What is your experience of this or take on this? Particularly as some other sources suggest a noise from the Vacuum Solenoid Block is not a problem.

Thanks

I just replaced mine this week as I didn't like the farting noise when switching off. Its a 5 minute job to replace and £20 from breakers. Its now quiet again although I didn't have any turbo issues.
