change reversing censor

Featured Replies

I have to change the left reversing censor or what you call it?

So I need som tips - advice ?

Must the bumper off?

Do I have to take off the black rubber strip on the rear bumper?

Difficult operation?

Please reword in better English, it may explain why no one can help you - difficult to understand sorry.

You mean reversing light ? I didn't know the Fabias has any reversing sensors but if they are I would imagine probably in the plastic bumper and needing to come off IMO.

In the plastic damper there is four warnings censors. The left one is gone..

When I put  the gear in the reverse there is a noise  -  a long beep, but after that nothing happens...

So I am talking about a censor  that inform me that I am to close something - not a switch.

Understand?

The rear bumper plastic trim comes off quite easily - Use a plastic spatula or similar and start at either end by prising the strip out gently, once you get it started just keep working along carefully without being too clumsy.

Many thanks!

Do you mean: plastic trim =  the 3 cm (about) rubber stripe? or the hole bumper?

Rubber strip, it has about seven locating points that clip into the bumper.

Then I inserted a sensor. It was just to flipp out the rubber/plastic list on the bumper and then turned the problem itself. Connection plinth was broken. I had already bought new sensor, and the "shut" right in place.

The error code was still there, but I got deleted it with a fault code reader.
Lucky luck, so everything was ok!
When I should reverse now comes a little squeak and then it works as it should. It begins with long pulsed beep, then closer, at about 30-40 cm beeps steadily and perilous.

The reverse-/parking sensor is repaired. Get good help from one that understood! Some understand much inside here!
