Buzzing noise when accelerating

Featured Replies

Just recently I've had a buzzing noise behind dash or in engine when accelerating ,engine at 2000/3000 Rpm any ideas

Mine does this too. Most noticeable around 2300 rpm under acceleration.

I had something similar but it was recognisable as a plastic rattle, so to speak. Sorted under warranty by dealer. Something about a piece of plastic and a cable loom near the brake pedal not being secured adequately if I remember correctly. Not at all where I thought it was coming from but did sort it

Also had this, it was a plastic clamp in the engine bay on the middle of the bulkhead. It holds two connectors and if one wasn't fully clipped it buzzed.

Any pictures of the location of this Tony? Wondered if this is something I can sort rather than wasting time at the dealers.

'2016 2.0L TDI: had squeak noise (short, silent "iiik, iiik"- but not whistle) when accelerating.

Especially, on 3d gear (manual box), at 2000-2250 rpm.

Cleaned and re-greased engine bonnet 4 rubber bumpers, sealing edges, foam rubber (where bonnet gas springs goes in) and lock mechanism > noise is gone.

+ Checked for loose parts in engine bay- everything was tight.
