Oil around throttle body

Featured Replies

Was just inspecting my engine bay and throttle body.

Removed the air intake pipe to view the throttle body. Quite clean one the exterior side. Might think about unbolting it and cleaning the other side of the throttle plate.

But there was a lot of oil below and around it.

Is this just due to the oil vapor recirculation? Just seeping from around the pipe seal?

There seems to be a lot around the lower area of the EGR valve(if that round thing is the EGR valve, the one with the wire coming our from the top)

It's usually oil seeping from the small hole in the side of the EGR,  pretty standard on older PD engines.
