Thanks. The ones on eurocarparts.com are INA for the belt kit and either KWP, HEPU or Circoli for the pump. Never heard of any of them myself...

Anyone used the eurocarparts.com ones please?

The genuine ones have always been plastic I think, they revised the plastic so they arn't supposed to spin on the shaft like they used to. I may stand corrected though.

I would go with a Gates belt or Dayco, I think I have used a continental one before IIRC

Correct, genuine water pumps don't have metal impellers.

Got my pump and belt from motor parts direct a while back. cant remember the name of the manafractor though.

Genuine belt manufacturers can vary from Dayco, continental or gates, the rollers or tensioners tend to be INA, SKF or Litens.

Genuine coolant pumps are made of a reinforced plastic polymer, certain models do use a metal impeller though.

Circoli or FAI make metal impeller coolant pumps that are just as good as genuine items. These days I see more pumps leaking than I do actually suffering impeller failure.

Truth be told you're far better off with a genuine kit. For the price difference you get 2 years warranty in the very rare event of a failure.

Yes I have gone genuine. Sourced all from eBay in the end via dealers operating there and for a good price.
