Oil change due already?

Featured Replies

I bought my Rapid Black Edition back in November from Sandicliffe Leicester it last had an oil change according to the electronic printout at 6717 miles before I bought the car. It now has around 12800 miles and I'm getting oil change due in 200 miles on the mfd. I've had a look and my car is on a variable service interval but surely it's not due an oil change after 6000 miles? Anyone any idea on what's best to do as I've moved to the top of Scotland now and don't particularly fancy having to pay for something that Sandicliffe might have missed

Welcome to the forum.

You do not have to.

If their technician failed to reset the service indicator and there is any expense to you to have it done before you are going near a Dealership for a Service Sandicliffe can pay for it.

Get in touch with the Service Manager and see what they want to do about rectifying their error by an employee.

Be sure to put it in writing and ask for a reply in writing.

No point using AC in Inverness to do anything,

maybe use Parks of Hamilton if they are up and running in Inverness, both as hopeless as each other, but every dog deserves their day.

You do wonder how people can do the same work day in and day out and still get it wrong.

I'll send them an email now then. Thanks for the advice!

You do wonder how they can forget something so simple especially when it's probably on their checklist!

Mate. your black edition is almost 2 years old being weeks newer than mine. The vario servicing works on days as well as miles and you are probably approaching the 700? days from new that the counter was set to at the factory.

Clearly though it wasn't reset - like lots of others on here who've had the same shoddy work from stealers.

Well, many years ago an Austin 7 did, apparently.
