A little help please - Multifunction box under rear tray

Featured Replies

I've received an original Multifunction box as per the item in this link

http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-limousine-original-Skoda-under-the-rear-tray-multifunctional-box

However, I'm puzzled by the fitting instructions. They appear to request some modification of the already present slide/mount for the tray which seems to currently snugly hold the tray in place, even including the soft "click" when it's all the way in, and it slides out again just fine.

Has anyone any ideas on this - it seems oddly specific and I'm wondering if Skoda subsequently discovered a design flaw which these small clips are intended to prevent/resolve?

Or, does anyone else have one of these and did they use the clips, or just work away without them? Thanks as always. Pictures of the guide and instructions are below.

I presumed I could just pop this in and didn't expect to be taking apart bits of the boot for it!

Unfortunately I am not going to help, but very interested to hear how you get on. This looks like a really useful add on. Hopefully you will be able to post pictures of it fitted.

Will do, once I figure it out and have the boot tidied (yeah, right!) I'll post some pics

I bought one of these from superskoda 10 months ago and was confused with the instructions regarding the clips but found that it just slid in and as been OK ever since like that .

Ditto - could make neither head nor tail of the clip fitting instructions. Just slid it in and all seems well.
