Seat Belt Extenders

Hi,  The front seat belt socket on my new Octavia is hard to get at, as it is low down to my and tight against the centre console. I see that there are rigid seat belt 'extenders' available which plug into the existing socket and 'lift' it an inch or two.

Has anyone tried these?  Does Skoda use a 'standard' seat belt size?
