Need help with my bagged Fabia VRS SE

Featured Replies

Hi guys, so I've had my Fabia bagged for a while now and have noticed that my friends fabia sits lower than mine on exactly the same setup as me.

We are both running Airlift Performance struts and both have our Anti Roll Bar removed but he still sits lower than me by about an inch. He will sit pretty much arch to lip on standard 16" vrs wheels whereas I cannot. I can't even sit arch to lip on 17" TT Comps. I was just wondering if there is anything different on the SE that could be causing me to sit higher than him or if anybody could point me in the right direction on any modifications to make etc?

I can post photos once I am back from college as the computers seem to block every image uploading site here.

Thanks in advance.

SE is exactly the same body/suspension wise other than the colour.

So this means that there must be SOMETHING differing between mine and his suspension setups then.. Hmm this is where I am confused lol.

Swap wheels n see what happens?

Better yet, just get a tape measure and measure vertically from hub centre to arch lip and compare measurements, takes a fraction of the time and effort but isn't for 'visual' learners.

If his tyres sidewall height is only 5 shorter than yours, then an inch would be about right in my head. Half Inch on the wheel and just about a half inch on the tyres. To get the same rolling radius you usually have to come down 10 in the tyre size for an inch upwards iirc.

Or maybe he is just fatter than you?

Same wheels, same tyres.

I mean lower towards the rim, not the floor.

Have done this, he is an inch lower than me.

Your struts might be fitted a different amount into the hub, but that would be more like 10mm that an inch

I've gone down the route of having my hubs custom machined now for the strut to sit lower lol :)

Any pictures of how low your car is atm? I'm just curious
