Something sounds amiss... (Now with video)

Featured Replies

I've checked the hoses/pipes no contact or buzz from them, sounds internal...

Video is a few posts down, sorry.

took some fiddling but try this...

My second All New Superb has been in the dealers twice in 3 weeks and I'm taking it back to the dealer I purchased it from.

Fixes so far by my local dealer

1- air con pipes poorly insulated and therefore touching. Reinsulated and pulled apart.

2- Complete dash removed to reveal that the heater matrix was completely out of its housing.

The noise is still present hence its going to the dealer I purchased it from. Also some tech guys from Head Office in Milton Keynes may make a appearance.

I'll keep you posted

Cheers, mines booked in for a week on Monday.

I mentioned on here that I had a vibration sounding from the dash when accelerating, not sure if this is linked or not. Is it possible that a lack of oil is reaching the top end of the engine? It sounds like a mechanical tapping rather than a rattle.

The noise appears to be intermittent which is annoying!

Jesus, that sounds awful. I hope you get it resolved soon mate. Let us know how you get on!

Skoda Assist attended tonight, agreed the rattle isn't great but not much else said in that matter. Plugged in and found out the acc radar is throwing out faults.

Wiper jets due a recall.

Headlights should not be as misted as they are and have been reported.

CV boots are the cause of squeaking when cornering.

Can not speak highly enough of the technician, very pleasant and helpful.

Just need to get the niggles sorted. If only the dealer was any where near as helpful!

Nicowalker85,

Just wondered if you ever found the source of the vibration/buzz shown in your video?

Mine has a very similar noise, been back to the dealer but still the same.
