How do you reset the service reminder to standard intervals and can it be done before the reminder comes on

Carista can do it but they charge £4 each time, otherwise it's a VCDS job I believe.

 

Google yields this result, but I've never tried it:

 

 

1. Press and hold trip reset button on the instrument cluster.
2. Turn key to II position. ...
3. Release the button.
4. Grab the trip reset button and rotate it clockwise. ...
5. Turn key to 0 position.
6. Turn the ignition on to confirm that service reminder has been reset.

It can also be done via maxidot if fitted - this will always resort to fixed rather than variable servicing

Should be something under: Settings -> Service

 

If I recall it should be pretty obvious as the manual states: 'Here you can have the remaining kilometres and days until the next service interval displayed, and reset the Service Interval Display.'
