DSG quick shift into Sport mode

Featured Replies

First drive of my new superb this morning and I accidentally discovered that if you spring the DSG lever backwards from the D mode it shifts into Sport mode, without having to press the mode button a couple of times, makes for quick shifting into Sport for an overtake or bit of twisty road, then another flick of the lever puts it back into D. Perhaps you all know that already but I hadn't read it anywhere so though I would share.

You can tell its in Sport mode by the current gear indicator on the display between the speedo/rev counter dials changes from 'D' to 'S'.

Correct, and the only real way to do it. Fiddling around with Drive Mode only complicates things.

Changing to Sport in Drive mode also sets DCC, headlamp adjustment, steering etc to sport; changing to Sport with the DSG lever only sets the DSG to sport.
