I'm thinking of buying a airtec intercooler for my vrs but is it worth it as I won't be going big power, I'm doing a mufflerectomy, with a remap, maybe down the line a pd150 turbo if I can find a decent one and decent price, but for now will be mapping on the standard turbo. What we think cheers

An FMIC is always a good idea, even on a standard car, it won't increase power but it will allow you to use the power for longer before it drops due to heat soak of the standard IC.

As sepulchrave says it is a good idea. On a stage 1 map with standard turbo intake temps would get to the high 80s/90s after a couple of WOT runs.

Since fitting an fmic it rarely gets above 25 degrees

That's a really good price.

Even second hand ones seem to be around £350 to £400

That was my original plan to get a 2nd hand one but checked the website and it was £495 so for the extra few quid may as well buy new.
